1. Course Introduction
GECC4130 “Senior Seminar” is the course under the College General Education Programme required of Chung Chi undergraduates.  The course runs in the first semester of every academic year, with its pre-registration and other important preparations carried out in the preceding semester. 

Detailed course information for 2023/24 is now available on the GECC4130 sub-page under the College GE website, including Course Introduction and Course Outline. Please read through important details like topic formulation, group composition, registration procedures, etc.

Students are advised to make careful and responsible study plan as to which year they will attend the course, especially those who may participate in exchange or internship programmes.  Late registration or withdrawal after March 20, 2023 may not be accepted, and will be processed according to regulations laid down in Chapter 10 of the “Course Introduction” document.
 

2. Pre-registration for GECC4130 – March 6 to 20, 2023
Students who would like to attend GECC4130 of 2023/24 Term 1 should complete the pre-registration by submitting the group registration details via the designated online form from March 6 (Monday) to March 20, 2023 (Monday). The following details of the proposed project are required at group registration: (i) project title, (ii) project description, and (iii) an elaboration on how the specialties and/or learning experience (from academic background or non-formal education in college life) of the four members are being integrated into the study.

One submission from each group is needed, to be done by the contact person. Each member must check carefully the personal particulars and topic details contained in the auto-notification sent to their the CUHK @link mailboxes.

3. To Be Assigned into Group by GE Office – by March 16, 2023
Students who are unable to form a complete team on their own shall fill in the grouping assistance form at https://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/webform/view.php?id=13663661 on or before March 16, 2023 (Thu).  Students will be assigned to a team by College GE Office based on the interdisciplinary principle. Member change is not allowed to the assigned team. Students shall contact members and complete the pre-registration before the deadline.

  Students unable to form group shall fill in the grouping assistance form at https://cloud.itsc.cuhk.edu.hk/webform/view.php?id=13663661 and to be assigned by College GE Office. 
   
• Mar 20 (Mon)
  Deadline of Pre-registration
  Pre-registration acknowledgment email sent to all team members’ CU @link email accounts. All team members must check properly the submitted students information and project details.
   
• Apr 21 (Fri)
  First class meeting with course supervisor
  Students are requested to reserve the afternoon of Apr 21 for the moment. Meeting time, venue and class section assignment will be provided in due course.
