The end of the semester is approaching fast! We will bring you two more Midday Oasis concerts in 2022. On November 21, lyric baritone Caleb Woo, organists Esther Tsang & Anne Lamwill bring you music specifically written for the seasons of Advent & Christmas. Join us and be enchanted by these meditative organ chorales, as well as some festive & jubilant selections that will prepare yourself for the coming of Jesus.  Program includes Bach’s “Großer Herr, O Starker König (Great Lord, O Mighty King)” from the Christmas Oratorio, BWV 248, Saint-Saëns’ “Prélude” from Oratorio de Noël, Op. 12 and excerpts from Marcel Dupré’s Variations sur un Noël, Op. 20. On November 28, recitalist Xinge Bu will perform masterpieces on her harpsichord, the most substantial keyboard instrument in European music history from the 16th through the 18th century. Xinge will perform John Bull’s “Pavana & Galliard of My Lord Lumley”, Frescobaldi’s “Cento partite sopra passacaglia” and “Toccata Nona” from Libro Primo.  Hope to see you at Midday Oasis concerts @Chung Chi College Chapel, 1:30pm-1:55pm on Mondays!
