What is your favorite woodwind instrument? The flute that’s mellow, rich and warm? Or the Scottish highland bagpipe that gives a brilliant, bright, and powerful sound? On November 7, acclaimed flutist Ivy Chuang & pianist Kam Wing Chong will perform Mazurka de Salon, Op. 16  composed by the 19th century flute virtuoso Albert Franz Doppler, as well as the Suite Antique by the world's best-loved English composer & choral conductor John Rutter, who pays tribute to “antique” styles from Bach to Broadway musicals in this suite. On November 14, renowned piper Edward Lam will perform traditional Scottish Highland bagpipe music, from march, strathspey, reel, to hornpipe and jig. Edward will also play tunes such as “Scotland the Brave”, “Amazing Grace”and“Gun Club Hill Barrack March＂. See you at Midday Oasis concerts @Chung Chi College Chapel, 1:30pm-1:55pm on Mondays!
