Recipient of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award in 1978, Nancy Loo (piano) is one of Hong Kong’s most versatile artists. She currently teaches piano performance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and The Chinese University of Hong Kong and has served as a juror for numerous piano competitions. Nancy attended the Juilliard School, where she studied with Adele Marcus. After graduating with a master’s degree, she studied with Vlado Perlemuter in Paris and Guido Agosti in Italy. She was First Prize winner at the Fourth Rina Sala Gallo International Competition in Monza and has won awards in many other international competitions. She has given solo recitals and performed with orchestras in England, Europe, North America and Asia. Locally, she has appeared in the Hong Kong Arts Festival and performed with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and the Hong Kong Sinfonietta.

Dr. Elsa Lee earned her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music, with a minor in Instrumental Conducting and worked as a graduate assistant in studio and orchestral accompanying. Elsa also earned her Master of Music Studies from Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Bachelor (Hons) of Music degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her teachers include renowned pianists and pedagogues Nancy Loo and Raymond Young. Aside from performing, Elsa is also a dedicated educator. She earned a Master of Education degree from Columbia University, with concentrations in college-level teaching and educational technology. Elsa is currently based in Hong Kong and teaching at Hong Kong Baptist University.
